Small move
Up to about 1,000 products on a standard theme.
- Products, images and categories
- Customers and content pages
- Full redirect map, tested
- Launch-day checks
Before launch: baseline recorded.
Step 3 done: Move products and images. Titles, SKUs, variants, alt text and images imported and spot-checked.
Products, customers, orders, URLs and reviews move across with a redirect map and SEO checks before and after launch, so rankings hold. Between Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart and others. From €2,400.
Scroll, press the steps or use the arrow keys on the checklist to move the boxes. Try skipping the redirect map to see why it matters.
Every platform stores data its own way. Knowing which parts travel cleanly is most of the planning, and it decides the price.
Send both store addresses. You get a written migration plan and a fixed price within one working day.
Plan my migrationThe single document that keeps rankings. Every old URL that has ever earned traffic or links gets one row and one 301 to its closest new page. Never a chain, never a blanket redirect to the home page.
| Old URL | New URL | Status | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=42 | /products/wool-socks-2-pairs | 301 | Old parameter URL still has links from forums. |
/wool-socks-2-pairs | /products/wool-socks-2-pairs | 301 | SEO URL keeps the same slug. |
/socks | /collections/socks | 301 | Category becomes a collection. |
/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=6 | /policies/shipping-policy | 301 | Shipping page moves to a policy page. |
/discontinued-red-mittens | /collections/mittens | 301 to parent | Gone product goes to its closest category, not home. |
/index.php?route=product/search&search=socks | (none) | not mapped | Internal search results are never redirected or indexed. |
OpenCart to Shopify: 4 one-to-one redirects, 1 to a parent category, and the rest left out on purpose. A real map runs to hundreds or thousands of rows, built from the crawl.
Full crawl of the old store; Search Console and GA4 exported.
Every old URL tested: one 301, landing on a 200 page.
Content freeze, DNS TTL lowered, final product and order sync.
DNS switch, redirects on, staging noindex removed, sitemap submitted, test order.
Search Console coverage, server 404 log, Merchant Center feed status.
Old URL list crawled again; chains and misses fixed the same day.
Clicks and positions for top pages against the baseline.
A one-page summary in plain language, with any open fixes.
Fixed price in writing after a short look at both stores. You own both stores, the data exports and the redirect map. proposed

For stores with real order history and reviews worth keeping.
Large catalogues, several languages or integrations with ERP and warehouse systems.
Your old store stays online and untouched until the new one passes every check, so if anything is wrong on launch day we switch back. owner to confirm
A move costs time and carries risk. Sometimes the better answer is to fix what you have.
Not if the move is planned. Rankings dip when old URLs break, titles change or content disappears. A full redirect map, matching titles and content, and checks before and after launch keep the signals Google has learned. Expect some movement for a few weeks while Google recrawls; lasting drops usually point to missed redirects.
Three to six weeks for most small and mid-sized stores: about a week to audit and map, one to three weeks to move data and rebuild templates, then a launch week with checks. Large catalogues, custom features or several languages take longer. After launch I watch Search Console for four more weeks.
Yes. Customer accounts, addresses and order history move with the products, so repeat buyers find their past orders. Passwords are encrypted in platform-specific ways and usually cannot be carried over, so customers get a friendly email to set a new one. Saved payment cards stay with your payment provider.
