A restaurant till that talks to the kitchen, the delivery apps and your accountant

One screen for counter, table and delivery orders, sent to the kitchen and booked into accounting without retyping. I integrate the POS you already have, or build a custom one for niche set-ups such as kiosks, canteens and events. Integrations from €1,900.

Minutes per order, staff cost and trading days on the board are example assumptions, not measurements from any venue. Change the links to see what each integration removes and costs.

Do you need a custom POS?

Probably not, and I would rather say so now than after discovery. Restolution leads the Finnish restaurant market with more than 4,000 sites across Finland, Denmark and Norway, and in March 2026 bought Tampereen Kassajärjestelmät. SumUp, Zettle and Lightspeed sell subscription POS too.

    USUALLY THE BETTER ANSWER

Keep a subscription POS and connect it

    • One venue with a normal counter and table flow: a subscription at roughly €30 to €200 a month costs less than any custom build, for years.
    • Delivery tablets, retyped Z-reports and paper tickets are integration jobs from €1,900, not reasons to replace the till.
    • Missing a report or a loyalty card? An add-on on your own domain closes the gap without a migration.

    WHERE CUSTOM MAKES SENSE

A niche flow nothing on the market fits

    • Self-service kiosks with unusual menus, combos or allergen rules.
    • Staff canteens and internal cafés with their own pricing or billing to departments.
    • Events and pop-ups where tills appear for a weekend and reports go to several organisers.
    • Phased build from €25,000 for a niche POS; a full restaurant POS is realistically €60,000 or more, and only after paid discovery. owner to confirm

Finnish rules, built in as settings

Finland has no certified cash-register requirement, unlike Sweden. Receipt content, VAT per rate and retention still apply. Tick the receipt fields, change quantities and rates, and watch the sample receipt follow.

    RECEIPT FIELDS, ACT 658/2013

All five required fields present. This sample receipt carries everything the Act lists.

Applies to businesses with turnover over €10,000 paid in cash or by card. The receipt may be electronic. Check Vero.fi and Finlex for the current text.

Card payments stay with the payment provider

The till sends an amount to a licensed provider's terminal and gets back approved or declined. The card goes from terminal to provider. Neither the POS, my servers nor I ever see a card number.

    Questions about restaurant POS

Does Finland require a certified cash register?

No. Finland has no certified or fiscal cash-register requirement, unlike Sweden. What does apply: businesses with turnover over €10,000 paid in cash or by card must offer a receipt with set content under Act 658/2013, and bookkeeping retention rules cover the records. Check Vero.fi and Finlex for the current text.

    Will you handle card payments?

No. Card payments run through a licensed payment provider's terminal under your own contract. The POS sends the amount and receives approved or declined; the card number travels from terminal to provider and never touches the POS, my servers or me. I connect to the provider's terminal API where one exists.

Should I replace my current POS?

Usually not. If your POS handles the counter well, connecting it to delivery apps, the kitchen and accounting costs far less than replacing it. Replace it when it cannot export data or has no API, or when an unusual workflow such as a kiosk or canteen fits nothing on the market. Discovery tells which.
